The Distribution Lead will be responsible for leading the activities and workforce related to shipping, receiving, storing of materials and/or finished goods. This leader will function as a Subject Matter Expert on core functions and processes. This position will also work in conjunction with other members of management in the development of a workplace culture that reflects ResMed’s organizational values, standards, core competencies and behaviors. This position reports to the Distribution Supervisor. Responsibilities include directing daily activities for distribution employees, participating in day to day duties of the warehouse, performing inventory control activities including cycle count, data entry, report generation and reconciliation, expediting critical shipments as required, functioning as the point person for questions from the distribution teams, supporting the training of warehouse employees, providing public relations support for FedEx, UPS, outbound freight companies, courier representatives, participating in all system upgrades, testing or implementations, enforcing all OSHA, FDA and ISO rules and regulations, and other tasks as assigned. Physical demands include walking and occasionally sitting, kneeling, crouching, crawling and lifting up to 40lbs. May handle packaged hazardous materials. Noise level is usually moderate to high. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, minimum 3 years relevant experience, strong familiarity with MS Office, excellent communication skills, energetic and self-motivated attitude, flexibility to work varying schedules and overtime. Preferred qualifications include experience with FedEx Ship Manager, Oracle, WMS systems, HighJump and/or Compass Conveyor systems, and certifications or advanced education.
