As a Forklift Operator, you will use a forklift to transport merchandise to, from, and within the warehouse to put away, drop down, and rotate full pallets of stock through the warehouse inventory reserve racks using a stand-up forklift. Responsibilities include transporting merchandise from receiving dock or reserve slots to proper location in the warehouse, completing purchase orders, maintaining replenishment in the computer using a handheld device, stacking cases and rotating merchandise, refilling benches and pallet slots, pulling material/products to deliver to production lines, moving/slotting finished product from production to designated storage area, pulling finished product from storage and loading on trailers, maintaining accurate records of quantities, pack size and description, unloading material/product from trailers, utilizing necessary technology (e.g., voice, RF gun) to select product, completing paperwork on transfer of material, dating pallets with current date, completing inspection form on equipment operated, changing battery in forklift when applicable, keeping work area clean, sweeping floor slots, cleaning spills and re-working damage, using case cutter to cut tops off cases, and performing other job-related duties as assigned. Requires MHE/Forklift Certification and ability to operate various forklifts and materials handling equipment. Physical abilities include occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, feeling, crawling, handling, fingering, talking, smelling, reaching, gripping, carrying, pivoting, pushing, lifting, pulling up to 60 lbs, standing and walking on various surfaces, and continuous sitting, hearing, seeing and repetitive movement using both hands and feet.
