Job Description

Lean Industrial Engineering Intern

Hours: Monday - Friday 7am - 3:30pm Full time, paid internship with benefits!

Location: South Phoenix - 40th St & Southern (CMI Group 3617 E La Salle St, Phoenix, AZ 85040)

  • Due to ITAR, all employees must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident

Position Overview:

The Industrial engineering intern will assist in the development and implementation:

  • Standard work instruction for setup changes
  • Methods and procedures for continuous flow projects
  • Support continuous improvement activities (Kanban, VSM, Kaizen, 5s, SMED, Andon, Value stream mapping)
  • Time studies analysis
  • Flow diagram and process maps
  • Work in the deployment of visual management
  • Lean principles training

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or entering final semester of engineering degree
  • Knowledge of Lean/Six-sigma techniques ( Kaizen, 5S, JIT among others)
  • Capability of working in MS, Word, Excel, Access and Outlook.
  • Due to ITAR, all employees must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
