[ad_1] Job Description Description The work will follow a similar approach to the Data for Now initiative, implemented by UNSD. The Data for Now initiative (Data4Now), co-led by the United Nations Statistics Division (UNSD), the World Bank, the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data (GPSDD), United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN), aims to support countries in developing capacities to provide information needed by policymakers to achieve the 2030 Agenda. Responsibilities Support the core national team and stakeholders in effective delivery of training and advisory services, under guidance from INSEED and DESA focal points. Develop and monitor a detailed activity plan with key outputs and timelines, in coordination with national and international partners. Provide translation support between English and French for meetings and documents as needed. Enhance stakeholder engagement and collaboration in prioritized areas. Maintain regular communication to identify bottlenecks and needs. Coordinate workshops and training sessions in collaboration with INSEED and DESA. Identify outreach opportunities and develop communication materials for engagement and policy integration. Create advocacy materials, including data stories and social media content, to promote project value. Issue monthly progress reports to track deliverables, suggest outreach activities, and coordinate within the country team; share reports with relevant UN and government offices. Prepare comprehensive progress reports biannually for the Government of Ireland and UN monitoring. Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor. Requirements Master’s degree or equivalent in development studies, economics, international relations, public administration, or related field, with 3 years of experience; or a bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience. At least 3 years of responsible experience in social sciences, including statistics, economics, or related fields. Experience in project coordination, stakeholder engagement, and capacity development. Knowledge of national planning processes and development partners in Comoros is desirable. Understanding of Sustainable Development Goals and national implementation efforts is desirable. Experience working with national statistical offices is preferred. Languages: Full command of spoken and written English and French required. Knowledge of additional UN languages is an advantage. Source:
