Position Summary:
The Retail Asset Manager is responsible for maximizing the financial performance of the company’s retail assets. This individual will oversee multiple third-party Retail Property Managers and collaborate cross-functionally to execute business plans, drive NOI growth, and ensure long-term value enhancement. The ideal candidate brings institutional-level retail asset management experience and will play a key leadership role in refining and scaling the company’s asset management platform.
Key Responsibilities:
Portfolio Oversight & Strategy
Develop and execute strategic business plans for each retail asset.
Monitor asset performance, operating budgets, and capital projects to ensure alignment with ownership objectives.
Drive decision-making on leasing, repositioning, capital improvements, and dispositions.
Team Leadership & Management
Manage and mentor Retail Property Management teams and third-party managers.
Establish clear performance expectations and KPIs.
Promote cross-functional collaboration with acquisitions, development, leasing, and investor relations teams.
Retail Asset Expertise
Oversee leasing performance, tenant mix, and market trends to optimize occupancy and rental income.
Identify value-add opportunities and mitigate risk through proactive asset-level oversight.
Support leasing strategy and execution in coordination with internal and external leasing teams.
Financial Analysis & Reporting
Lead financial modeling, forecasting, and asset-level reporting.
Benchmark performance across the portfolio and report on key financial and operational metrics.
Review and approve annual budgets, capital plans, and operating strategies.
Platform & Process Optimization
Implement best practices in asset management, reporting, and operational workflows.
Lead the development of standardized dashboards, reporting formats, and performance tracking tools.
Identify and implement technology solutions to improve platform efficiency.
Investor & Stakeholder Communication
Collaborate with senior leadership on investor updates and presentations.
Prepare asset narratives, hold/sell analyses, and performance summaries for internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
~7+ years of experience in retail asset management with oversight of grocery-anchored and convenience-based shopping centers.
~ Demonstrated leadership managing third-party property managers and internal cross-functional teams.
~ Deep understanding of leasing, property operations, capital planning, and financial analysis.
~ Track record of driving NOI growth and asset value creation.
~ High proficiency with Excel, Argus, and real estate software platforms (e.g., Yardi).
~ Strong communication skills and executive presence; ability to represent ownership in strategic discussions.
~ Bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, or related field; MBA or similar advanced degree preferred.

Experience within a vertically integrated or institutional retail real estate platform.

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
Compensation:
Target Compensation: $135,000–$160,000 base salary + Performance-based bonus
