Job Description

Minimum Qualifications:
  1. Education & Experience: An associate degree in business administration, retail sales, or marketing is preferred; 2 years' experience in staff management and development or a combination of education and experience.
  2. Certifications: Valid Driver's License. Able to drive on behalf of The Salvation Army per Salvation Army Policy.
  3. Skills/Abilities:
    • Ability to speak, write, and understand English sufficiently for effective communication with customers, management, and coworkers.
    • Basic computer skills including Point of Sale System, payroll programs, Microsoft Office Suite, and other systems adopted by TSA ARC.
    • Ability to give change accurately.
    • Good speaking, hearing, and vision abilities, along with excellent manual dexterity.
  4. Supervisory Responsibilities: In conjunction with the Regional Manager, recruit, interview, and recommend for hire store staff. Train and supervise store staff. Provide personnel reviews and approve time and attendance using the current payroll system. Regularly check time logs, following all current regulations and trainings.

Physical Requirements:

The physical requirements to perform this job include regularly standing, using hands, handling, or feeling, hearing or talking. Frequent walking and reaching with hands and arms. Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and focus adjustment.

Work Environment and Travel:

The work environment is a store setting with quiet to moderate noise levels, potentially dusty, with temperature fluctuations. May require standing for extended periods. Travel to various locations for work, training, or management training may be required.

Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position requiring weekend and evening hours, performed in a typical retail store/warehouse environment.
